Description
Empire is a meditation on time, mortality and the moving image. Jumping off of Andy Warhol's 1964 film of the same name, it confronts the audience with a nearly static image, bringing an awareness of their own presence and the limitations of existence.
About the Artist
Steven Summers is a media and video artist who grew up in the Pittsburgh area. His work ranges from traditional narrative structure to experimental based installation. Through these mediums, he explores the familiar challenges of what it means to be human. He currently lives and works in Chicago.
